Meet Chef Giorgio Barone: The Chef of Champions

We are honoured to collaborate with Giorgio Barone — renowned as “The Chef of Champions.” With a Sardinian mother and Roman father, Giorgio grew up between the vibrant markets of Rome and the wild beauty of Sardinia, learning the secrets of Mediterranean cuisine from his grandmothers. His culinary journey began in Australia and soon led him back to Italy, where he managed and cooked at celebrated restaurants in Olbia.

Giorgio’s talent and passion have made him the personal chef for world-famous athletes, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin Prince Boateng, Gigi Buffon, and many other international football stars. Despite his VIP clientele, Giorgio remains deeply connected to the land and traditions of Sardinia, crafting simple, healthy, and unforgettable dishes that honor the island’s authentic flavours.
